Now, just 5.5 weeks out from the great TCS 2016 New York City Marathon, our runners are feeling the burn. Their miles and fundraising numbers are steadily climbing and we are in great company among all the amazing orgs raising funds for meaningful causes. Let us introduce you to our final runner and teammember, Sarah Green, a long-time PowerPlay volunteer and veteran fundraiser.
“I started running 11 years ago. Before that I was a “walker” and never thought I would run! This is now my second marathon, ever, and like last year in this same race, I’m running it once again to raise money for PowerPlay.
I am a special education teacher here in NYC and I feel very passionate about supporting children and specifically, the whole child academically, socially and emotionally.
I love that PowerPlay mentors young women and gives them opportunities to grow and be exposed to all kinds of tremendous opportunities.”
