Visiting colleges is an essential part of the application process. There is no better way to see if a place is right for you than to visit it. Being a junior in high school last year meant that I had to start my college search but with so many options I didn’t know where to begin. PowerPlay gave me the opportunity to visit several colleges campuses and see which one was the right fit for me. I took part in two overnight trips which were offered. During the trips I was able to picture myself in different college environments and ask insightful questions. Everything became more clear to me. Overall I learned more from the personal experience — an experience that I wouldn’t have being part of if it wasn’t for PowerPlay. In addition I had the chance to bond with other high school girls like me that were going through the same process. After the visits I became more realistic about my college choices and was steered into a new direction and perspective of college life.
