As we march into the heat of August, our TCS NYC Marathon team keeps on training hard. Today we’re introducing you to one of those dedicated leaders: Jillian O! Read what she has to say and find out why she finds meaning with PowerPlay.
“I am excited and proud to be representing PowerPlay NYC in my first marathon! Athletics have been a cornerstone of my life since I can remember. I was incredibly fortunate to have parents who let me try every activity and sport from ballet to soccer and let me explore until I found what I was passionate about. I am running for PowerPlay because I believe every girl should have the same opportunity. Sports have made me into the person I am today and without them I would not have learned valuable lessons which can be applied in every facet of life. I hope my miles can help PowerPlay reach and impact as many girls as possible.”
