We want to thank you all for being a part of our 14th Leadership Academy this year. We’ve had such an incredible journey during our four weeks together learning, seeing, doing across NYC and we’ll keep going even further into the new school year ahead. Our final summer update — an update on Week 4 — from our participants is below. This week (and later in the fall) they begin internships at various sites across NYC and will give their skills a test-run in the professional world as well as receive a valuable mentor/mentee experience.
Finally, this summer we used 140 volunteers (!!) to help develop our girls’ leadership toolkits. They were inspiring role models for our young leaders and staff, helping to make our Academy a huge success.
