Don’t you know?! Teamwork makes the dream work. PowerPlay recognizes the power of teamwork to transform lives and achieve success. Not only do we teach this to our girls, we live this lesson through our collaborations with the many amazing nonprofits and community-based organizations in New York City. This year we’re proud to announce we’re partnering with the great New York Road Runners (NYRR) and their fabulous Mighty Milers program — a school and community-based program that instills the daily habit of running and/or walking for physical fitness and overall health in elementary and middle school children. PowerPlay and NYRR are working together to offer this program at 7 of our after-school sites across NYC, all in the name of helping grow our girls into leaders in their communities and give them the tools they’ll need to succeed in the future. Here’s to even more #teamwork in our futures!
