Black Women in Hockey Panel

To celebrate Black History Month, PowerPlay  partnered with the NHL to hold a virtual Black Women in Hockey panel for our young girls. We were honored to welcome our panelists Blake Bolden, the first African American woman to play professional hockey, and Alero Eribo, the 17-year-old founder of HockeyGirlz (nonprofit)!

These two outstanding athletes shared their amazing journeys in the sport of hockey, inspiring our girls to try something new and get out on the ice!
