To culminate our Summer STARS program, our participants were treated to a baseball game where our girls watched the Brooklyn Cyclones compete in a home match against the Aberdeen Ironbirds at Maimonides Park. For many of the young women and their families, it was their first visit to a ballpark and their first baseball match. Thank you to The Brooklyn Cyclones for hosting our girls. Special thanks to the NYPD for safely chaperoning everyone out to Coney Island.
As a warm welcome into The Cyclones Community Night, the girls were surprised to be honored by the Cyclones live on the Jumbotron during the 3rd inning of the game. With amazing ballpark food in hand, our young people and families got to witness a night of amazing hits, runs, and pitches!
