On December 11, 2021, PowerPlay and fellow STARS CGI member organizations hosted our third Youth Town Hall, entitled “Pass the Mic.” Pass the Mic was a call to action to urge policymakers to include youth in the decision-making process.
Our STARS CGI Fellows facilitated the entire youth town hall and conducted a brief question and answer session with special guest, NYC Council Member Farah Louis. She discussed the impact of the pandemic and the COVID vaccine on youth and their communities.
Our youth were informed and articulate! We were so impressed with their ability to lead this effort and maneuver through challenging topics with a local politician and their peers alike.
