STARS CGI recently launched a new initiative ‘Becoming More‘, in collaboration with the National Women’s Hall of Fame.
Inspired on the NY-Time Bestselling author, 2021 NWHF Inductee, and Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s book – Becoming, Becoming More explored the journey of 10 STARS CGI youth participants. For ten weeks (March-May), they met with our Coach extraordinaire Shantae J. Edwards and explored what Becoming More meant to them. They showed up ready to work! They were vulnerable, hopeful, authentic and supportive of one another’s magic. They created the safe space to be themselves.
On May 14, 2022 they stepped on the stage in front of their friends, peers and families, and spoke their truths at a TEDx styled event they co-designed with STARS CGI leadership. In September, the group will gather together again, as special guest attendees at the 2023 Women of the Hall Induction Ceremony. These remarkable young ladies will have the unique opportunity to network and socialize with present and former Hall of Fame inductees alike. We are thrilled share in this experience with this special group of young people and are over the moon excited to see the impact they will make in the world.
