With over 10 years of experience in the education sector, she has gained expertise in program design, relationship cultivation and working with outside vendors to introduce students to opportunities that foster a love of learning. Leah gained knowledge of the 21st Century Learning Center model during her time as a Community School Director where she also mentored young girls in the District 19 Girls Empowerment Movement initiative for over 5 years. Leah believes that all students deserve to have a mentor that they can receive encouragement from to try new things including participating in sports leagues in and out of school time.
